21 November 2003, Chesterfield, Derbyshire: "Maintenance: Making It Happen" conference, Hardwick Hall

21 November 2003, Edinburgh: SPAB Scotland launch event at the City of Edinburgh Council's City Chambers.

22 November 2003, Glasgow: The SPAB in Scotland, competition to win place on the Scottish Lime Centre's 3-day course.

24 November 2003, Scotland: Ministerial launch of Historic Scotland's

26 November 2003, Islington, north London: Marianne Suhr, and her fellow SPAB scholar and BBC2 "Restoration" presenter, Ptolemy Dean, gave a special SPAB lecture entitled "After Restoration".

27 November 2003, Dulwich, south London: On the eve of SPAB National Gutters Day (see below - 28 November), SPAB scholar and BBC2 "Restoration" presenter Marianne Suhr.

28 November 2003, UK-wide: Drainage Center, the national chain of drainage merchants,  produced 10,000 public information leaflets to give away via their 80 plus outlets nationwide, for SPAB National Gutters Day.

28 November 2003, SW of England: Bob Grose, presenter/builder on BBC TV's "DIY SOS" series, and other members of the series' on-screen team, provided a photocall and interview opportunity for journalists.

London Borough of Southwark, south London: The London Borough of Southwark offered a Home Maintenance Strategy, aimed at helping private homeowners, especially low-income ones.

Oswestry Borough Council: Throughout November 2003, the council ran a series of information articles about maintenance matters in newspapers and invited all primary schools in its area to take part in a "Grotty, Gutters poetry/art competition."

Kintyre Civic Society: held a local photographic competition, with the Completown Courier, for the best picture of an overgrown gutter.
